Hedydd Ioan

Hedydd Ioan

Hedydd Ioan worked on the Symbolic Species residency project based in locations in North West Wales, with the RSPB. This residency engaged with young people in exploring some of the 17 endangered species, and their habitats, across the Llŷn peninsula and Isle of Anglesey.

You can see more of Hedydd's work here.

'Anweladwy' was one of the art projects as part of the Natur am Byth programme, specifically looking at the work of the Natur am Byth crew across Llŷn and Anglesey.

'Anweladwy' is a multi-disciplinary piece by the artist Hedydd Ioan who invites the audience to reflect on their relationship with their environment and the nature around them through the invisible survey form.

There is a voice, sound, and film piece accompanying the form created during research and development of the species that were being protected through the scheme.

During the development of the work, the artist went through a process of research and collaboration with local schools to share and develop ideas about the work. You can see a collection of the research, development, and sharing that was done during Winter 2024 on the People’s Collection Wales.
